I had installed pavucontrol but nothing more. I can select "Analog Output" and
"Analog Headphones" but no sound with the jack output. (If I select Analog
Headphones without any jack plugged in my soundcard I have no sound from my
speakers)
If I select on the Configuration tab an hardware with "Digital" in its name or
"Analog Stereo Input" : pavucontrol and Rhythmbox crach.
The hardware list :
  - Analog Stereo Duplex => Speakers OK but no sound with jack output
  - Digital Stereo (IEC958) Output + Analog Stereo Input => pavucontrol and
Rhythmbox crach.
  - Analog Stereo Output => Speakers OK but no sound with jack output
  - Digital Stereo Duplex (IEC958) => pavucontrol and Rhythmbox crach.
  - Analog Stereo Input => pavucontrol and Rhythmbox crach.
  - Off

Yes, bug #252119 :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/252119/comments/16
In fact all Medion MD96640 hadn't any sound on Ubuntu Hardy due to a bug in
Alsa. This bug was solved on Jaunty but the internal microphone don't still
works.
I can open a new bug if you prefer ?

In pavucontrol / Internal device : I can select 'Microphone 1',
'Microphone 2' and 'Line-In'. 'Microphone 1' is attributed to the
microphone jack input (for an external microphone), 'Microphone 2' is
attributed to nothing (I've tested the internal microphone and my 3 jack
input (output - microphone input - line input)) and Line-In to Line jack
input)

Thanks for your support !
