Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.28
On current Jaunty 64-bit, the Siemens DCA-510 cable (http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/showdev.php?id=2670) is unusable. System detects the USB-to-Serial adapter in the cable correctly, loads pl2302 module as it is supposed to, and even creates /dev/ttyUSB0 in which the phone is supposed to be accessible. lsusb says: Bus 003 Device 012: ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port which is correct (see link above). The problem is, the phone is not accessible via /dev/ttyUSB0, neither via scmxx, nor via wvdial or even minicom. Also, /dev/gps0 is created as a symlink to /dev/ttyUSB0. Perhaps, system mistakes DCA-510 for a GPS device? ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Siemens DCA-510 cable is not detected properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410340 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
