Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

In Karmic , Recent pulseaudio updates cause the other applications to
freeze when "Enable Window and button sounds" is checked.

To trigger this , click the buttons[which initiate a sound event] in
rapid succession , pulseaudio is not able to handle these rapid events
and the pulseaudio CPU usage rises to nearly 60% and the app triggering
the event freezes since it is waiting for the last sound to be played.

when pulse audio finally plays the sound the app works properly. no need
to kill pulse audio. [its just not able to handle rapid sound events
unlike Bug #294813 , where pulse audio has to be killed]

This is a *regression* , since before the recent updates this did not
happen.
