Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Installed Karmic alpha 3 AMD-64 over a copy of a fully functional Jaunty
install on Acer Extensa 5620Z. All components fully up to date. Power
manager settings are ineffective: idle timeouts don't work, laptop lid
close not detected (and no failures logged in /var/log/).
In the preferences, options for "when laptop lid is closed" always
revert to "Shutdown", no matter what I set it to.
