Can you plesae give some details as to what you tried, and what the
results were? Did you get any errors, or did you not get any sound at
all, and no errors?
Have you also checked the volume levels with the alsamixer command? To
check, open a terminal and run alsamixer which should show you whether
the volume is turned up.
