+ Hi tried update manager... after putting in password I was told to run
manually" sudo dpkg --configure -a".
nothing happened. After looking in forums. somebody mentioned syntaptic
package manager in Systems sub menu and found I needed to up date my system(
sorry i forgot what happened next) ..but this updated successfully.
Once this was completed, I went back to the update manager found I could
continue updating my system to my relief being a complete novice.
Restart was required to complete and that's when the said problem occured.
After several reboots the system came back to life.....HEAVEN! Hope this is of
help.
