Public bug reported: My Laptop is: Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. Product Name: SQ35S System Version: 03SD
I am now using Ubuntu 9.04 before that I have used Ubuntu 8.04. In Ubuntu 9.04 some FN keys are not working most important for me is the key FN+F4 which is used to switch external VGA output on and off. This key was working on Ubuntu 8.04 but now it is not working any more. I have already tried solutions offered in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch. All methods mentioned in this articles have not helped to solve the problem. The key press event is not reported at all with all the methods described in the before mentioned articles. Could somebody please check this problem and suggest some solution strategy. In attachments I have gathered some infos that can possibly help to solve this. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some FN Key on Samsung Q35 are not working. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/411097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
