Public bug reported:

In short:
Edgy hangs during boot when no usb mouse is in plugged in.

I have a pentium M 1.7Ghz laptop, 1.5G ram, 40G HDD, ati mobility radeon
9700, with pcmcia wireless card (D-link DWL-G650)

When I do not have my usb mouse plugged in the kernel just hangs, there
are no errors. The kernel seems to stop at different points if I remove
my pcmcia card, again no errors.

I have been unable to debug this problem using the kernel output
messages, as there seems to be no errors. The system just hangs there
with the fan going. I have only left it on for 5 mins, so there is a
chance that it maybe get going again after that (I'll try that and see).

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
