Public bug reported:

The "Close Window" tooltip gets stuck above all windows and won't go
away. I've only ran into this issue once, but I haven't seem a way to
get rid of it. I've tried `metacity --replace` and `compiz --replace`
without any success, but `gtk-window-decorator --replace` did the trick
to get rid of it.

I also tried to `xkill` it, but that didn't work, so I did `xwininfo`:

xwininfo: Window id: 0x2204254 "gtk-window-decorator"
