I re-installed Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 6 i386 a few days ago.

This version works fine and boots all USB drives like before.
I then did a partial update yesterday.
It updated successfull, and this time it keeps mounting the USB drives on boot
:)

Even with my crappy Asus M2A-VM that seems to be riddled with bugs.
Due to ATI SB600 Northbridge bugs I get softreset errors on boot for every SATA
channel.
I have to install X64 Ubuntu versions with no more than 2GB RAM onboard,
otherwise the install crashes

So far installing 9.04 alpha 6 i386 and then upgrading is the only 9.04
that worked. All others will not install, or crash shortly after boot.
