* I then ran 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' and got

Setting up notification-daemon (0.4.0-0ubuntu4) ...
notification-daemon: no process killed

Setting up python-libxml2 (2.6.32.dfsg-5ubuntu4.2) ...

Setting up ntpdate (1:4.2.4p4+dfsg-7ubuntu5.1) ...
Processing triggers for libc6 ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place

* What interests me is that I get a 'no process killed' for
notification-daemon only
