I always get:
/sbin/mount.davfs: Connection failed, mounting anyway.  File system will only 
be usable when connection comes up.

using "dpkg -L davfs2" you see an empty "/usr/lib" dir.

The Readme says:
If you want to allow non-root users to mount a davfs file system, you have to 
set a few 
things:
 - The suid bit for the corresponding binary:
       # chmod u+s /usr/lib/mount.davfs-<your kernel version>

These files don't exist.
So this is a bug.
