Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-session
My touchpad on my EEEPC 901go is multitouch enabled.
In current Karmic this works in gdm's login window. If I start a GNOME-session,
the touchpad switches to single touch mode. If i choose to start a xterm
session the touchpad works just fine.
dmesg shows this about my touchpad:
[ 19.822406] elantech.c: assuming hardware version 2, firmware version 2.48
[ 19.898191] elantech.c: Synaptics capabilities query result 0x00, 0x02, 0x64.
[ 20.122749] input: ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad as
/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input10
This bug also occurs with this todays daily live cd.
