Public bug reported: Ubuntu 9.04 I report this with great humility and trepidation because I'm not at all sure it's a bug. Jaunty either doesn't have wvdial, or the package is broken. I've set up wvdial several times on several different PC's over the last few years, so have some familiarity. Never tried in Jaunty til now.
Here's my old "Dial-up" thread. It's been read over 5000 times. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=480717 Anyway, I tried to configure wvdial in Jaunty for the first time two days ago. bp...@bpbar-laptop:~$ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf [sudo] password for bpbar: sudo: wvdialconf: command not found bp...@bpbar-laptop:~$ A day later I decided to download gnome-ppp. After the package installed "sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf" command worked. I thought that wvdial had been tossed intentionally but some people suggested filing a bug report so here I am. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Jaunty - wvdialconf does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/413273 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
