I'm guessing this is either a BIOS/dsdt bug or lack of support for this barebone within the linux kernel itself.
Eitherway, it's a really annoying bug... when the laptop battery goes under a certain percentage my lcd brightness dims (as it's supposed to) but in order to restore the brightness (after having the laptop plugged in) I _MUST_ boot up windows. Linux is not able to restore the brightness on it's own. Also, if X crashes I can't access any maintenance console terminals, so the only solution is a reboot. But as you can see, nobody is paying attention to this, it's the first reply in almost 6 mounths. Anyways, glad to know I'm not alone on this one :) -- No /proc/acpi/video in Clevo M860TU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345355 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
