Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpi-support

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 on a Dell m1330 laptop. I've attached the output
of lspci in case it's helpful. I have acpi-support package version
0.121.

I'm experiencing some problems after resuming from suspend. I'm not sure
if my problems are related to acpi-support or something else. After
resuming, I can hear my hard-drive winding down and up constantly (I
don't hear this normally). Furthermore, I think the free-fall sensor,
somehow, gets turned off. Normally, if I move the laptop (or hit the
table by accident), I will hear a click which I'm assuming is the
sensor. After resuming, I no longer get the click. Once I restart the
laptop, everything works normally.

** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
