Public bug reported: This is in regard to the Alsa drivers (to the best of my knowledge).
The core problem is that I don't get sound from my Sound Blaster card in 9.04, whereas I did in 8.10. In following the Sound Troubleshooting page ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting ), I ran into inconsistent information on my sound card. The Alsa page says it should be supported, I think, but I can't find my codecs listed in the ALSA- Configuration.txt file. Here's my Alsa Info page: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=41fd4fd3622f3b4462cba75ba956a1080a3a6748 If I'm reading this right, I have codecs AD1980 and STAC9708, and driver version 1.0.18rc3, but when looking at the ALSA-Configuration.txt file for this driver version or any other, my codecs aren't present. 1) Release: Ubuntu 9.04 2) alsa-base version: 1.0.18.dfsg-1ubuntu8; alsa-utils version: 1.0.18-1ubuntu11 3) sound 4) no sound (actually, I can get sound from my on board sound, but not my Sound Blaster card) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- no sound, and debugging yields inconsistent driver info https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/413895 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
