Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz
The original papercut (Bug #147230) was fixed in a way which makes it impossible to re-enable the feature of switching desktops using the scroll wheel. See https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/147230/comments/49 and https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/147230/comments/50 I also can confirm this after upgrading to Karmic (Alpha4, 2009-08-14). Either the original fix to the paper cut should be undone, or there should actually be the ability to re-enable the switching with the scroll wheel. In all comments by the design team it was always said that a user could re-enable this feature if they wanted it. ** Affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed ** Tags: usability ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Also affects: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: compiz The original papercut (Bug #147230) was fixed in a way which makes it impossible to re-enable the feature of switching desktops using the scroll wheel.
