Public bug reported:
I'm not sure if this has been reported since there are several bugs
reported that mention suspending. Suspend to disk (hibernate) seems to
be working ok, but when I try to suspend to RAM, the machine does not
respond to the keyboard to wakeup and if I press the power button to
turn on, I get no video, no input capability (can't even turn num lock
on/off), and no network connection (i.e. can't ssh in), so I have to
force a restart with the reset button. This seems to be reproducible as
the same thing occurs each time I suspend on this machine.
Suspend to RAM and disk worked on this machine (no hardware changes)
using the latest Jaunty packages as of Aug 1, 2009. Karmic seems to have
an issue.
Let me know if more information is requested. The Ubuntu bug reporting
tool swept up a lot of information, but I'm not sure if it is all-
inclusive (I've never reported a bug before against Ubuntu).
ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.
