Public bug reported:

I installed jaunty (amd64) on my new Sony VAIO SR220J but am
experiencing random kernel hangs every so often. (The laptop is always
updated to the latest and greatest in the repositories).

Initially, I thought it always happened after resuming from suspend or
hibernate, but it seems to happen even on a clean boot.

:~$ uname -a
Linux kaveri 2.6.28-14-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Sat Jul 25 01:19:55 UTC 2009
x86_64 GNU/Linux

I have saved a few logfiles when these crashes happened. This one
points to Error/Exception in ACPI

I will add kern.log which has some trace info in the attachment to the
bug. Please let me know what other information I can provide. I am
hoping I can find out and provide as much info. as possible to get a fix
for these hangs. Thanks!
