Thanks for taking the time and report this bug. It seems to be related to a non-official ubuntu repository (pidgin ppa), so I will mark it as invalid.
By experience, I had similar problems with that repository. You should remove it and add it back via synaptic in the following matter: 1. Open System->Administration->Synaptic 2. Select Settings -> repositories 3. In the third party tab click add: 4. Fill in with these information: URI: http://ppa.launchpad.net/pidgin-developers/ppa/ubuntu distribution: Jaunty (or whatever you are using) Component: main 5. Close, reload the reposotories and everything should work. Please keep in mind to fill future bugs again unofficial PPAs to the proper owners (in this case the pidgin developers). Thanks. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- Could not initialize the package information https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358079 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
