AFAICS your version (1.0.1-0ubuntu2) is the current one in 8.04, in 9.04 it's 1.4.1-0ubuntu1 While 8.04 is in fact still supported this is generally limited to critical/security fixes, upgrade paths and the like (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates). A newer version might get backported but I'm not the package maintainer so I don't want to raise your hopes there... especially as the bug can be worked around easily by waiting until all files are recognized.
I don't have a 8.04-system to test it, but another work-around might be to directly download the 9.04 package from http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/soundconverter and try to install it manually. -- Soundconverter doesn't fully convert folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/316061 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
