Hi Sense, I'm inclined to think you might be seeing two different issues. In bug 367065 Ted T'so (ext4 maintainer) seems to confirm the "ext4: find_group_flex failed, fallback succeeded dir 5630" messages are just a warning. So I suspect the freezes aren't exactly related. I have however put some Jaunty test kernels together with some backported ext4 patches. They can be found at:
http://people.canonical.com/~ogasawara/ext4-jaunty/ Currently there are amd64 images, but I'll be adding i386 images once they finish building. If you could test and let us know your results that would be great. Also, the latest Karmic Alpha kernels contains quite a few ext4 patches if you wanted to test that as well. ISO CD images can be found at http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic/ . Thanks. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: ext4 -- [jaunty] ext4 causes regular system freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/370925 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
