This is too much. I mean, seriously, the core printing component on the largest Linux distribution in the world freezes for sixty seconds when attempting to print to a remote printer through CUPS (the native Linux print system) when that remote printer is not present.
This is the sort of bug that needs to be closed. I refuse to utilize an enormous workaround script to solve this. Some developer has to have a good way to close this bug.
