Public bug reported:
The mobile broadband provider AWCC (Afghan Wireless, http://www.afghan-
wireless.com/) needs to be added to the database. I manually edited the
file
/usr/share/mobile-broadband-provider-info/serviceproviders.xml
and addeded these lines:
<!-- Afghanistan -->
<country code="af">
<provider>
<name>AWCC</name>
<gsm>
<apn>internet</apn>
</gsm>
<username>awcc</username>
<password>1111</password>
<dns>212.23.32.71</dns>
<dns>212.23.59.70</dns>
</provider>
</country>
Following this, I was able to connect to AWCC via my USB-connected
Samsung cell phone.
This is Ubuntu 9.04 with mobile-broadband-provider-info
20090309-0ubuntu1
