Public bug reported:
I have a EVO N1020V, old compaq notebook, working with safe graphics mode
(otherwise was not working with any version above 7.04 of ubuntu). Anyway
that i tried to start the system (by live cd, installing, etc...) always
start to freezes after a while that first graphic screen is shown.
I think that in that moment, some services are still running up, because,
is a matter of seconds after the first screen to freeze the notebook.
I had a 7.04 in another partition, and it works fine, no freezing and no
problems with the graphic card (its running with its own driver, not the safe
graphics mode).
When i start the recover mode, in text only, the systems don't freezes, and i
was able to start the ubuntu-bug -p linux, that started this lynx browser,
from what i am reporting this bug.
I got the wlan0 interface running only with wep encryption or without any
encryption, just to get this ubuntu-bug tool running although this is
another problem.
