Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
record options are: Mic Boost, Capture, Capture 1, Digital, and Internal Mic
Boost. doesn't seem to have a choice for Line In. Line in is not an option.
My "line in" is from a receiver I've been using to record old LPs to my
computer.
works fine with old Dell with windows.
I can get hardly audible, very tinny sound recorded only with Capture 1., but
so bad it's not useable
Also, in volume control setting for Edit>Change devices I have choices of
0: HDAINTEL(ALSA MIXER)
1: REALTEK ALC 268 (OSS MIXER
the first choice HDA is selected. Should I care?
obviously, I'm new to Linux
Thanks so much
Jim
