I'm sorry, but this comment goes straight into Clifford Stoll <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clifford_Stoll> territory. I don't know how to use this sysprof or other unnamed profiling tool in order to determine what will make evolution stop sucking. It's a fact, on this machine, that it will consume *nearly all of CPU* if left to itself. I've run enough 'sudo kill' against the evolution process to seriously consider asking the S.O. to switch to a more intelligently designed <http://diveintomark.org/archives/2006/06/26/essentials-2006> e-mail client.
