1) Which version of firefox do you have installed? Type the following command 
in a terminal window to find out:

2) Can you be more specific about what you mean by "play a track"? For
example, are you trying to play a music track from a website, like
myspace? Or are you playing a track from a CD? Or something else?

I am playing track from the system on movie player.

Let me know if you need some more information.
