While HDMI audio-out has never worked on my Dell Inspiron 1525 with an
Intel's HD Audio card, I expected it to work in Karmic after updates to
the sound infrastructure.

It is a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Intel HD Audio, a Core2Duo processor,
and 4GB of RAM
