** Summary changed: - Update interactes badly with noninteracitve automatic updates + update-manager cannot get a lock on /var/lib/dpkg/lock due to automatic security updates
** Description changed: Ubuntu 9.04, update-manager 1:0.111.9 I've enabled automatic installation of critical (security) updates. This conflicts with the behavior of the update manager. The update manager checks for new updates and shows the update dialog if there are critical and normal updates while installing the critical updates in the background. If you click Install in the dialog it will fail since it can't get the lock because there is already the installation of the critical updates running. + + This is a side effect of recent changes in the behavior of update + manager (See Bug #332945 for details). -- update-manager cannot get a lock on /var/lib/dpkg/lock due to automatic security updates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369706 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
