I've been experiencing the same problem under the latest Kubuntu Karmic (vanilla install of Alpha 4; all updates since then; I made no modifications whatsoever in /etc.)
Logging out of KDE sort of "freezes" (?) the system: if I had logged in to VT 1 since booting, I see VT 1, but can't interact with it; if I had only used the KDM session, I get a black screen with a single white _ cursor, but can't interact further w/the system, either. In both cases, the keyboard appears to be stuck (e.g., CAPS lock and Num lock don't change their respective indicator lights.) The only thing I can do at this point is hit the power button, which triggers what looks like an orderly shutdown, complete with the Kubuntu boot splash screen. System: Dell Latitude E5500 w/Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30685242/Xorg.0.log -- [gm45] Kubuntu: X crashes on logout ((EE) intel(0): Failed to initialize kernel memory manager) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
