Using xubuntu feisty herd 3 candidate released 01/02/07
gxine version 0.5.10-0ubuntu1
On a fresh install, launching
Applications > Multimedia > gxine
produces the attached error dialogue.
>From a terminal (to see more details)
$ gxine
(gxine:5591): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_style_detach: assertion `style->attach_count
> 0' failed
lirc: cannot initialise - disabling remote control
lirc: maybe lircd isn't running or you can't connect to the socket?
xine-lib: error: Whoops. You seem to have a broken xine-lib.: No demuxer
found - stream format not recognised.
upgraded package libxine1 from 1.1.3-1ubuntu2 to 1.1.4.1ubuntu1, but got
exactly the same error.
