sup guys i actually registered just to tell you this i had the exact same problem, i'm on ubuntu 8.04 and every time i pressed play amarok would freeze anywho you know that GRUB thing that loads first when you turn on the computer well i basically just went on a different one not recovery mode or anything it was like generic or something anyway hope this helps!
