Can you explain what tool is available under Gnome for this? I'm
currently trying to set up an old laptop where Ubuntu fails to load a
working ALSA sound driver, and hoped to get some info from alsaconf on
the correct module and IRQ and the like... I had done this already once
with Debian, but as kernel and ALSA have changed much since then, those
infos are outdated it seems. Having alsaconf or something similar for
this under Ubuntu could help a lot!
