mahen, this bug has been closed for quite a while. The problem that bug was addressing has been solved, and reporting it here will have zero chance to attract the attention of the right developers.
Most joystick don't crash X anymore, and aren't detected as mouse either. If your joystick does (most probably it doesn't crash X, it's just it's detected as a mouse by default, which it shouldn't), could you please open a new bug against xserver-xorg-input-evdev, using preferably the command : ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-input-evdev while your joystick is connected, and adding a description of your symptoms + name of your joystick? It should attach the relevant information, then a developper involved in that package can ask you for more input if necessary. -- Joystick detected as mouse, crashes X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274203 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
