Public bug reported:
I get a kernel oops when I try to boot the Feisty Fawn Herd3 desktop
powerpc CD.
When I boot with the graphical splash screen, it hangs with the progress
bar barely started, and then reboots after several minutes.
When I boot with the nosplash option, I get a screen dump showing a
kernel oops. The oops happens very early in the boot process.
I don't know how to capture the text in the screen dump, so I took a
photo and will try to attach it to this bug report, in case there is
somethign helpful in it.
My system is an Apple iBook G4 (12 inch). /proc/cpuinfo indicates this
machine is a PowerBook6,7.
