I strongly disagree on the statement that 9.04 fixes it. I'm right now in another forum trying to sort out an issue that comes up if you install 9.04 from scratch. (if you upgrade 8.10 to 9.04 you only notice part of the problem : - I use a Fujitsu Amilo 14xx. Has pci Intel 2200bg and (because of wifi issues...) a Netgear usb wifi. And to enable both I had to use the Windows Wireless Drivers Utility.
If I want to use wifi, I need to use the Netgear because the Intel driver loads but doesn't pickup access points! So what I get is a NetworkManagerApplet that shows both interfaces but only connects if the connection is made with the usb wifi. I loaded the firmware/drivers as indicated by Intel (their litterature is very poor or needs Linux wizards. Anyone knows if someone wrote a procedure (including shell commands) to make the Intel 2200bg work? Tks for any help you can provide. /jlm -- issues with intel 2200 BG wireless card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/288439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
