Hi Christian! >How would I know which version I have on the live CD?
Just type: "dpkg -l gnome-power-manager" in a terminal. And to update it, also in a terminal: "sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude install gnome-power-manager". However, there is no problem in installing the system, and once in it, updating. And there is no need in run g-p-m as root, you should run it as a normal user. And remember that Feisty is not stable, so you can find some bugs, even critical ones. Best regards Pochu P.D.: please, tell us which version of g-p-m you have. -- power mgmt. doesn't offer susp / hibernate https://launchpad.net/bugs/83088 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
