In recent investigations I just found out that multicast routing support (including PIM1 and PIM2) are not enabled in the hardy kernel. I have just rebuilt my kernels for testing and it works just fine. could you please update linux-2.6.24/debian/config/sparc/config: CONFIG_IP_MROUTE=y (default is not set) CONFIG_IP_PIMSM_V1=y CONFIG_IP_PIMSM_V2=y Thanks Fabio
