Public bug reported:
Installing herd3 on a Dell 700m results in 1024x768 as maximum
resolution, both on liveCD and once installed.
xorg.conf contains:

and ..

Modes "1280x800"
EndSubSection
So it's getting the basics right, but 1280x800 is not available via Control
Center.
