I have also had issues with LUKS (AES-256) on my 64-bit karmic install on an
Intel Atom Board. I have a very different setup than the first poster here:
unencrypted root partition with multiple encrypted partitions mounted in
sequence from a key file (some custom hackery as well). I saw messages
reporting successful luksOpen completion for my first drive, however the system
never unlocked the next device and required a hard reset/power off.
I can confirm that my problem does not exist for 2.6.31-rc6 and earlier, and is
present in 2.6.31-rc7. I have been running karmic for a few months now due to
kernel issues with my board in jaunty and have had no other issues.
