Thanks for that report. The bug you describe looks severe, yet difficult
to track down. One strange detail is that you don't say you modified
anything using users-admin. If that's the case, that tool should not
have committed any changes to the system, so it wouldn't be its fault.
Moreover, the root password is really a strange detail. ;-)
Have you experienced that problem again? Without precise testcases, I'm
afraid we cannot do much.
