Public bug reported:
I enabled automatic login for one of the user accounts on my machine.
When I rebooted the system, I was logged in automatically for the user.
However, when I tried to switch users, I was taken to a login screen
with only the option to log in as the user for whom automatic login was
enabled.
I was presented with a dialog box that allowed me to enter the password
for the current user but no option to log in as the other user on the
machine.
Also, if I tried to log out of the session completely, the screen
flickers, I see some text, the nVidia splash screen, then some text
again, then the cursor showing the system is busy, and the GDM hangs. I
can access the command line by pressing ctrl-alt-F1, F2, etc but if I
return to the GDM, it's still black with the "busy" cursor.
