Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hplip

PolicyKit got a new API ("1.0"), which applications need to be ported
to. This requires some changes on PK-protected servers; PK clients
simply need to drop all policykit related code entirely, due to the
simplified structure of PK 1.0.

hplip is one of the last packages in Karmic which still use the old API,
and ought to be ported as soon as possible. It would be bad to ship two
authentication stacks and two different user interfaces.

Please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/PolicyKitOneMigration for
the status in Karmic, and further links like porting guide, the Fedora
specification, and API documentation.

Thanks!
