Hi guys - Beryl seems to work if i use an older Kernel?????

i686 GNU/Linux
Distro: Ubuntu Edgy

1. Install ATI Driver (working)
2. Test 3D with Fgl_fglgears - working
3. Install beryl from offical repos
4. restart and select Xgl as the session
5. Beryl does not start.
6. Manually attempt to start and crash report comes
