I have the same symptoms, but my question is different: Why is there a 800 MHz frequency option?
I am asking this because: 1. There's no such frequency when running Windows with every driver correctly installed and checking the real-time frequency with CPU-Z. The minimum frequency available in Windows is 1600 MHz. 2. It's physically impossible for the CPU to reach that frequency given that the minimum multiplier for a Core 2 Duo processor is 6x, which, given its FSB of 1066 MHz (quad pumped, meaning 266 MHz real clock), gives a minimum frequency of 6x 266 MHz = 1600 MHz, just as reported by Windows. Can someone please shed some light over this? -- cpufreq-applet: shows 2.54/2.53/1.6/800 Steps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
