We were aware of the feature freeze date, but unfortunately we're at
the mercy of our Debian packager's free time. I used to do the Mixxx
packaging for Ubuntu (universe) myself in order to have control over
the timeliness of packages, but I was eventually told by a MOTU that I
should instead be updating the packages in Debian and getting them
synced across. So after that, Free graciously took over packaging
responsibilities. Unfortunately, I'm unaware of anything we could have
done to expedite the packaging process to meet the Karmic deadline,
otherwise we would have done it.

Thanks,
Albert
