If someone can tell me how to trace/debug pulseaudio startup and HAL policy parsing, I'll try to figure out a HAL Policy for this card as it's the only card out of a dozen I've tried on Ubuntu that works at all. Also if someone can tell me how to save the default sound level between boots I'd be grateful as Ubuntu seems to always startup at max volume.
