Note: as far as other users of the main computer and people I install Ubuntu for, it's also great because they don't have to learn to use/remember the System menu for anything. Non experienced users usually never touch the Preferences (if there's any changes to do I do it for them), even less Administration (they don't have admin rights in the first place). The power icon makes it transparent where to go to shut down the computer, and they also already use the fusa applet on multi- user setups.
